01Introduction & acceptance of terms

Welcome to Makson Travels. By accessing or using our website, www.maksontravels.com, and booking any travel services through us, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you must not use this website or book our services. If you are booking on behalf of others, you warrant that you have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf.

02Role of the agency

  • Service provider status. We operate as a travel agent. We curate, book and facilitate travel services, including flights, hotels, cruises, car rentals and excursions.
  • Independent suppliers. All travel products offered through our platform are provided by independent third-party suppliers (for example airlines, hotel properties and tour operators). These suppliers operate under their own independent terms and conditions.
  • Limitation of liability. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, errors, warranties or negligence of any third-party travel supplier, nor are we liable for any personal injury, death, property damage or delay resulting from their services.

03Bookings, payments and pricing

  • Booking confirmation. A booking is considered confirmed only when we have processed your required deposit or full payment and issued a confirmation email containing a booking reference code.
  • Payment schedule. A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your inventory. The remaining balance must be paid within 7 days of the booking, or by the due date advised at the time of booking. Failure to pay on time may result in automatic cancellation and forfeiture of your deposit.
  • Accepted payment methods. Payments can be made by credit or debit card, net banking, UPI, or verified digital wallets through our secure payment gateway.
  • Price changes. Prices are subject to change due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges or supplier price modifications until the booking is fully paid.

04Cancellations, changes and refunds

  • Client-initiated cancellations. All requests to cancel or modify a booking must be submitted in writing by email. Cancellations are subject to the cancellation policies advised at the time of booking. Please keep in mind the time zone and date difference of the destination the booking is made for.
  • Supplier-initiated changes. If an airline or tour operator cancels or significantly alters your itinerary, we will act on your behalf to secure alternative arrangements or refunds, subject to the supplier’s policies. Agency booking or processing fees are entirely non-refundable.
  • No chargeback policy. By confirming a booking, you agree not to initiate a chargeback with your credit card company for legitimate cancellations that fall within our stated policy window.

05Travel documentation, passports and visas

  • Client responsibility. It is the absolute responsibility of the traveller to obtain, hold and present valid travel documentation.
  • Passport validity. Passports must remain valid for at least six (6) months beyond your intended return date.
  • Formalities. We provide basic informational guidance regarding visa protocols and health requirements. However, we accept zero liability if you are denied entry into any country, or boarding onto any vehicle, due to incomplete paperwork, missing visas or insufficient medical clearances.

06Travel insurance

  • Mandatory or highly recommended. Travel insurance is strongly encouraged, and may be mandatory for specific international packages, to protect you from unexpected monetary losses.
  • Coverage scope. Your policy should cover trip cancellation, medical emergencies, emergency evacuation, baggage loss and travel delays. We are not liable for any losses that would otherwise have been covered by a standard travel insurance plan.

07Taxation

Local and central government taxes shall be applicable on all bookings as specified by the relevant authorities from time to time. Taxes such as GST and TCS are mandatory to be collected as specified by the tax authorities.

08Force majeure

We are not liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms caused by a force majeure event, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics or severe weather conditions.

09Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India and the State of Maharashtra. Any legal disputes, claims or grievances arising from the use of this website or our booking services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
